Everyone tells me that 44 mag in a carbine is mild shooting.
What do you think?

The .44 specials I had were nothing. The Winchester magnums had a bit more kick but it was not bad. I loved it this is my new go to rifle. I'm taking it bear hunting with my Grandpa this Fall.

Also there was a big difference between the older lead was cutters my uncle gave me and the new magnum rounds I got. Very big difference in accuracy. I love it though the Ruger performed very nice with the weight and the large wood target grips I have on it it was very easy to use even got to fan the hammer. 8-) on a few occasions I shot better with it than the carbine.

I'm in love with my .44s

The Ruger carbine my uncle had was a gem, I loved it when I got to test it out! 8-)

It kicks about the same as my 32 Win Special, which means it's pretty mild. The thing with carbines in 44 Mag is you can't chamber the heavy loadings like 300gr and up.
Zack.....
Some really nice factory loads are the Remington 185gr SJHP, surprisingly hot in a pistol.

I'll have to try those out if I find the UD so far all I have found around here is either lead rounds for cowboy shoots or the Winchester rounds I got and the hornadys.

I have a bunch of different loads for my 44 Mag but pretty much only use my 300gr JSP loads now. I trimmed a few cases down to 44 special and loaded them with 240gr SWC. It's like shooting a pop gun.

Those heavy loads use LBT bullets. Probably the best available. Real bone crushers, they don't deform.
