Looks interesting.
It would make a good car gun if you weren't concerned with urban survival.
5.8 pounds does not seem all that heavy
Till you compare it to this

Somehow I missed this post first time around.
One of those would be pretty dang cool, kind of hard to swallow the $700+ price tag though...
Wouldn't mind looking at the 20 gauge version. It doesn't have the inserts, but runs about half the price.

Savage is making a .22/.410 combo now that retails for about $340. With the popularity of the .410 revolvers these days, there are quite a few fairly effective loads available.

IF I had the scratch though, honestly, I'd probably just get a 10/22 takedown...

If I do another AR in rifle form I think I might try to see how light I can get it.
I hate carrying heavy stuff around, I would hate to have to hire someone to carry my rifle and ammo for me.
Makes one wonder how often the British big game hunter of yore actually carried their rifle and how often a bearer carried it.

Dad's in the process of building an "uber-light" AR right now. He's using a Cavalry Arms polymer lower and a 16 inch, "pencil" barrel...should be a hair over 6lbs when it's finished.

When he finishes it I would be interested in knowing the final weight.
