Stupid zombies ?

Where's the threat ? These sort of zeds are given a fright/danger factor much higher than they have deserved.

I've read posts and apparently stickers/posters that express excitement by some people, who are willing on a ZA ! :WTF:

Would they do so if the zombies were more agile than stumbling mindless easy targets ?

I doubt it. Probably ending up crying in a dark corner wanting their mummy.

What they want is to be given free rein to kill/re-kill easy zed victims, making themselves look brave and heroic.

Again....where's the threat ?

NUMBERS

Can't kill them all when there are thousands, can't run forever from something that never tires. They replicate exponentially faster than humans- babies are candy to them. If there was some virus that created zombies just by any form of death then there would be no life on this planet quite soon.

That enough reason to be somewhat "concerned" about even the slow ones laddie? ;)

I agree with LW

I mean with the slow & stupid type if 70% of the population was infected and turned zombie, that just means everyone of the surviving 30% would just have to kill 2.3 zombies. Even at 90% undead, killing 9 each. Now a 99% would be very troublesome.

But I know that the real problem that would occur is how to "destroy" loved ones. I think for most that would be the crux of the outbreak.
Most of my comments should be read with your best "BROCK SAMSON" voice. While others should be read with your best "CLINT EASTWOOD" voice. A few, and I mean a very few should be read with your best "JOE PESCI" voice.

The danger is in numbers regardless of what you might think.
You tire.
You have to sleep.
You have limited ammuntion.
If they lose 1,000 to get you they win.

It's to do with the films themselves, as watching slow mindless zombies is boring to watch, albeit if in real life infinite numbers of them is a frightening thought. But big screen isn't real life, it needs to be exciting.

I watched NOTLD again recently, which is my fav zed film, but did find myself thinking about how more animated it would have been with faster, early-man-thought-process zeds, meaning they might have also tried to get up onto the porch roof too, getting in the upstairs windows, etc., the using of the shotgun more in the defence of the building and so forth.
Once more into the fray,
Into the last good fight I'll ever know,
Live and die on this day,
Live and die on this day.

No fast Zombies!
You might as well shoot yourself in the head and get it over with.

With fast zombies, you would have to get yourself holed up in a secure place quickly--although shooting yourself in the head would also get the job done--LOL.

I personally liked the remake of Dawn of the Dead better, despite the fast zombies.

Was the first Dawn Of The Dead the one with the bikers and zombies in the Mall? I liked Land Of The Dead a lot, with the foraging runs and trying to live in a post Z environment.
