Different Cities Around The World

Wed Jan 15, 2014 3:01 pm

Being on vacation in Europe I have noticed something. No walls around houses.

In SA even lower middle class the wealthy have high walls razor, barber wire, glass or eltric fence so what country city would be best to survive the out break in.

It would seem that any city or place that is designed to prevent human threats would be well suited against zombies...

then again, sheer numbers can push down walls and fences as easy as raging water can knock down a bridge or dam.

Interesting observations and topic SoB! :good post:

Not many homes around here with high walls. The majority of homes in San Francisco are attached to each other. There is front access (ground level) via a gate protecting the main stairwell and garage door (single car garage). There is rear access but one would need to start at the end of the street and hop fences in every yard to get to your yard.
The lower level of these homes is mostly parking and storage areas, unless of course there's an in-law apartment down there.

I'd prefer somewhere with long, straight streets.

Houses in the ME have walls around them also. Didn't help keep the people behind them safe.

A smaller city would be better--fewer people to deal with (living or dead) when the shit hits the fan. It would also be essential to be very familiar with the layout of the city. I'm not sure I could pick one place that would be the best, as many would have a lot to offer.

did the people in the house have any manys to defend them. A wall or any barrier is useless with out some one to man it.

In the South we don't have gated communities.
The disease has not reached us yet.
It is on it's way, but we have not achieved full infection yet.

How many men on averge per house. ?

Are you talking about defending vs equal armed and train people that match there numbers, larg linch mobs or milltary/paramiltary. Attacks.

Of course any wall can fail vs a strong enough attack. A good wall and strong gate will keep the lone zombie or small groups out. If zombies follow the pattern of walking dead it could even stop. Large heard if you do not get there attinstion.

Of course this is meanless for me. The pirmeter fence arround my accomdastion can be breached easly. The wall arround the acctual bas can be locked down good. And the boat has a brow.
