It was a gift for making margaritas I think. Never tried it on ice cream, but I have a banana cream liquor that's great on sundaes.

Raspberry should go good with vanilla or so I would expect.

Cracked a bottle of Bulliet Rye last night and I just poured the last of it. Nobody else wanted to partake. UD not sad......

Made a big mistake on Sunday. It got up to around 95 so I started drinking rye with lemonade. Not a big deal unless you must take insulin to survive. I was sick Monday. Could only eat once and could only keep it down for about 2 hours. Now that I'm home being a responsible father and drinking ice water like crazy I'm back to normal pretty much!

Too much sugar in the lemonade or too much alcohol converted to sugar?

Is rye with some fresh lemon juice good?

Sugar in the lemonade. I seriously doubt I could ever drink enough alcohol to raise my sugar levels to 400 or higher.
Lemon juice might be a little too tart to add to bourbon. It's extremely rare for me to mix my booze with something else but the heat was killing me. The only beer my cousin had around was Coors Light, but I prefer the darker stuff. He has a pretty good selection of booze in the house but the only bourbon/whiskey he keeps is Crown Royal and the Maple version.

I am no expert on Canadian whiskey but the ones I have tried I don't care for.
They tend to be almost flavorless.
Well ok the maple tastes strongly like maple syrup, not a bad taste but too sweet for me.
MacAbre says it is intentionally that way.
He says it is whiskey for people who can't drink whiskey.
They need something that has no taste when it is mixed with something.

What do you think?

I actually like the taste of what I drink. I usually don't use lime or salt with tequila either. Booze with citrus tastes good when it's hot outside though. I used to drink that Tequiza stuff all the time when I lived in Fresno.

When I was a kid I mixed with everything under the sun.
It all tasted bad so I mostly drank beer.
Later in life I mixed with water or did shots, mostly shots.
Then Underdude helped me to learn to drink whiskey.
Life has changed for me.
