I like that tomahawk
I have one like it.
It seems durable enough for "social" situations.

Seems to be rather sturdy, I wrapped the handle myself and it now has a good feel in my hand.

I didn't even catch the fact it was wrapped.
I just kind of blanked...

Yeah I wrapped it cause I figure if I'm out camping and my hands are wet or whatever I can still have a good grip on it

Just ordered a Steel Eagle 107C from TOPS. Should be here by the middle of next week, and hopefully by Saturday

I looked at a picture of that knife.
Damn sturdy looking!
I like the fact that the blade is not serrated.

Do you think partially serrated blades are falling out of popularity?

I never liked them myself. I think they are also illegal in some states as well. It would seem that they would make it harder to sharpen, how would you go about it?

I don't mind a serrated or sawed back, but I prefer my blades to be straight edged.

One if my folders has a third serrated or something like that, and I don't mind it on a folder. But my brother has a half serrated fixed blade and I'm not a fan

Still pretty popular in folders. I also prefer non serrated fixed blades.

Serrations really shine for cutting rope but how often do most of us cut rope?
There are several specialized things for sharpening serrations
The thing about them is they will still cut after the rest of the knife has been reduced to butter knife sharpness
But come on it isn't that hard to sharpen a knife to a rough edge all you need is a flat rock.
I guess if you were somewhere there are no rocks...

These pictures are some guy using a file.
There are better tools
