Best way to go in my opinion. Hell, even early model Tiger tanks had an antipersonnel set up on them. They had S-Mine launchers(bouncing bettys) located oat 5 or 6 positions on the hull so as to deal with swarming attacks by infantry.

This one has them:

They are located on the corner of the drivers position and the rear hull corner as well in this picture(they look like large empty cans). The triple cans on the turret corners are smoke grenade launchers. S-Mines would launch out about 4-7 feet before exploding(at least for the ground deployed ones), spraying their load of ball bearing like missiles everywhere. They weren't mounted on them for too long though. They started mounting directional antipersonnel grenade launchers internally to a number of different tank and tank destroyer vehicles later on though. Here is the swiveling port for one on a Tiger 1:

Slight topic shift
Did you notice the welding bead in that picture?
You don't see work that looks like that anymore.

Indeed. That is part of the reason they didn't make so many of them, too expensive and sophisticated to make. They only made less than 1,500 of them as opposed to close to 50,000 Shermans by the US and the same amount of T34s by the Russians. No way you can hold back that amount of opposition to be certain.

Interesting rig in this "motivational" picture:

Anybody know what kind of firearm that is mounted on the handlebars? I just love the Browning M2 on the little back trailer!

I found a website where you can bid on old humvees starting bid is $5000 bidding increments of $250 thought really hard about it. Step dad even told me to bid on them. He worked on them for 8 years when he was in the military.

How awesome would it be to have a vehicle that could run on anything flammable and made to be fixable in the field 8-)

It would make sense for it to be a 50 cal.
If I was a younger man I would be working towards a Barrett.
I have only shot a 50 bmg once.
