Vehicles out of expediency...

Postby Red Star » Sat Jan 16, 2016 9:25 pm

Lots of stuff can be used in cities, suburbs, as well as out in the open or on trails and such. Out of expediency comes ingenuity sometimes...

Check out this little thing with an MG-3 attached to it. Looks like something for a meter maid, or in this case maybe a small utility vehicle for farm/greenhouse nursery use. Put a roll bar on it and attach a flexible mounted weapon to it as well and there you go! If it runs on gas it sure doesn't use much. In a city or suburban surroundings it can get around better than a car in closed in situations. Easy to turn around too for getting away. Makes for a nice little patrol vehicle in a small compound environment for a fire brigade. Farm trails would be a nice recon advantage using one, I'm betting they are pretty quiet. I think this one is in the Balkans or a Baltic state, not exactly sure.

Thoughts, observations, or other pics of different vehicles perhaps?

True, but in a small local environment it could be fairly useful. They have some little ones buzzing around in downtown Dodge City here- too funny. Still, you could even use them on sidewalks I bet!

In a zombie occupied world, I would want the sides to be higher to protect my legs from grabbing hands. Bigger tires would also get it higher up from the ground.

This would be more of a movement only/shoot and scoot type of vehicle. Hell, I bet I could tip it over by myself. However, it can be concealed pretty easily which is a big advantage.

So, who else has found anything useful? I'm still scrounging around on the internet...

Just that weapon and a few thousand rounds and I'd be happy.
Definitely needs bigger tires.

You know I don't think we ever discussed using explosives against the undead.
Not that they would be easy to get, the components are tightly controlled now.
The closest you can easily get is black powder and tannerite.

I think an armed APC with claymore mines attached to the outside as backup would be the perfect way to go if possible.
