Got a bigger and better CB radio, a cobra 25 LTD classic. My good friend got a new CB so he have me this one. It's more powerful than my old one, I was picking up signals with no antenna. When I get the money, I'm gonna buy two 5' firestik antennas and mounts and I should be picking up great signals.
And on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise, and said "I need a caretaker."
So God made a farmer.

Just don't try to transmit without an antenna and when you get the new antenna have someone check the swr for you.

I know the idea of lifting a 2wd truck is silly, but I'm really considering it. I'm pretty low to the ground and this truck is my work pickup...I use it around the farm and having some extra ground clearance would help a ton driving across fields and in rough terrain.

It's not silly if you actually NEED the extra clearance. I say go for it.

If you want to do it, go for it.
