Very awesome!
Been thinking about getting a bow for quite awhile now.
Practically grew up with one in my hand but haven't had one for 20 years or so...
Need to just bite the bullet and pick one up.
What kind did you get?

Samick Sage Takedown. To start I got the 40 lb but I can convert it by purchasing the proper kit later on. I'm just stuck on what arrows to buy. I don't want to spend a fortune but I don't want them to shatter either.
Any advice on arrows and points/broad heads?

If you buy multiple types of heads, make sure you get them all in the same weight. That way the performance factor will not really be different.

Yeah, trying to find a balance between price and quality was the issue. I'm sticking with field points for now.

Sounds like a good deal for these days, I haven't even seen any archery stuff around these parts in at least 2 decades. Did you measure out what length arrows you need to use?

Back when I was a kid, the local True Value hardware store had a big bin of cedar arrows for ~$.50/ea.
We used to have to sort through them to find the straightest ones...
I am getting my girls a starter bow for Christmas, and even the kids', (shorter), arrows are now like $5 apiece. Granted, they are WAY better quality than the ones we used...
We used to be pretty frivolous with our arrows and lost quite a few in bushes and stuff. At today's prices I don't see that happening. I will have to be Dad, "the arrow Nazi"...
