You might say that now, but with modern broadheads(especially the spring loaded ones) you might think differently. Field points, which are regular practice or target arrow points, put smaller round holes in things!

Back to ConSeannery's original booboo pics, this shows an example of how those accidents start:


Especially with more primitive bows, the arrow can come off of the bow while drawing the arrow back. Modern bows have shelf like areas and/or small rests for the arrows. An overzealous archer, especially if using shorter arrows than they should, can easily pull the arrow back too far- resulting in those lovely photos earlier! :oops:
